2026 Summer Fundraiser
2026 Appeal Letter
Dear Supporter,
Diligent and thoughtful members, like you, have shaped the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve into a beautiful, peaceful refuge for nature and humans. The Bolsa Chica Land Trust began, in 1992, with determined volunteers who all shared the common goal-save the wetlands and mesa.
Today, more community members are connecting with the Land Trust to volunteer, learn, and engage with Bolsa Chica. Your gift encourages endangered and threatened birds, plants, and animals to flourish for many future generations. A nesting survey this past June recorded 175 California Least Tern and 11 0 Snowy Plover nests, demonstrating a growing, healthy ecosystem. More birds and wildlife found on wetlands and mesa this year can be found in the Wings over Bolsa 2027 Calendar, now available with a $20 donation!
Your efforts and support are timeless with impacts that shape our community for years to come. You made this possible.
The Land Trust is made up of over 5,000 people who strongly advocate for the preservation and conservation of the natural world. The next 50 years may bring more over development, wildfires, and rising sea levels; the Land Trust is prepared to face these challenges. Your continued involvement makes the Land Trust family stronger than ever.
The Land Trust is sincerely grateful for your generosity, and we hope you will continue your support today with a gift of $100 or more. If $100 is not possible, please consider an amount that is more comfortable for you. Every gift has an impact and is deeply appreciated.
Your Generosity Will Help Us:
• Restore the biodiversity of the California Grasslands and Mesa with Coastal Sage Scrub.
• Grow the Miracles of the Marsh and develop a new youth education program.
• Expand our events to connect the community with the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.
• Offer opportunities to volunteer and steward Bolsa Chica to maintain its future beauty.
We hope you will join us at an upcoming event or visit the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve to see the impact of your kindness. Always feel free to email info@BCLandTrust.org for more information.
Thank you for being a part of the resilient Land Trust family and the reason our work continues.
With appreciation,
Diane Rosencrance
