We are pleased to announce a new opportunity for the community to support the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve through the 2026 Bench Replacement and Sponsorship Program. This collaborative project will replace the aging, deteriorated benches throughout the Reserve with durable, safe, and welcoming seating for all visitors to enjoy.

Beginning May 1, 2026, individuals, families, and community groups will have the chance to sponsor a new bench. Each sponsorship includes a long‑lasting recycled‑plastic bench designed to resemble natural wood, along with a single dedication plaque.

Your sponsorship directly supports:

• safe, comfortable seating for the public
• the removal and replacement of rusted or damaged benches
• long‑term maintenance of the Reserve’s visitor amenities
• stewardship and sustainability efforts that keep Bolsa Chica thriving

The sponsorship cost of $1000 covers installation and ten years of maintenance, helping ensure that these benches remain sturdy and accessible for all who visit the Reserve.

Guided by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), this project is made possible through the leadership of our partner organizations — the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, Bolsa Chica Land Trust, and Amigos de Bolsa Chica — who lead all sponsorship outreach, promotion, and donor engagement.

We thank you for your support in helping create safe, meaningful spaces for reflection, nature appreciation, and community connection at Bolsa Chica.
