Board of Directors update 2018
Welcome to the Board of Directors
This past summer we welcomed Jeff Rokos to our Board of Directors. Jeff and his wife, Natalie, have been core team leaders with the Stewards for more than 20 years and were awarded the Kennedy-Kolpin Bolsa Chica Conservation Award in 2008. He has a Bachelors in Psychology from Rutgers University and was born and raised in Union County, New Jersey. Jeff moved to Huntington Beach in 1995 and joins our Board after retiring last year from a 32-year career working in the insurance/reinsurance field. He is a member of the development committee and is in his fourth year serving on our Wings Over Bolsa calendar committee.
“I feel a special attachment to the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve,” says Jeff, “not only as an open-space sanctuary in our heavily populated area, but also because it has offered me the opportunity to connect with the amazing people who have saved this land from development and are dedicated to seeing this place reach its full potential for the wildlife, the original, Native American inhabitants, and the current-day community. I am proud to be associated with such an effort and will help in any way that I can.”
Thank You for your service
After serving for many years, Dave Hamilton has resigned from our Board of Directors. Dave’s dedication to Bolsa Chica and protecting our Southern California environment has been an inspiration to all who know him. Dave diligently cares for all things Bolsa Chica, and we are deeply grateful for his work on the BCLT Board.
