Spring Fundraiser: BCLT’s Board will double your donation!
Help Us Meet Our Match!
Your donation today will be matched up to $15,000!! To celebrate Earth Day 2024 the BCLT Board of Directors has offered to match all donations given before May 15th!
This Earth Day, celebrate the beauty of Bolsa Chica and give your support to help us nurture and care for one of the last remaining coastal wetland/upland ecosystems left in California.
YOUR DONATION WILL:

- Support habitat restoration on the Mesa and help us grow thousands of native plants. Inspire curiosity and wonder in young students about the natural world around them through our education programs.
- Bring more university student research projects to Bolsa Chica to help us better understand the changes that are impacting this environment.
- Fund our efforts to develop long-term planning for resiliency and sustainability of the critical habitats at Bolsa Chica.
When I bring my two young children to Bolsa Chica I feel the strength of the community that fought so very hard to save these wetlands and mesa. As we slowly make our way down the trail, and we stop to get sand out of little sneakers, I realize how fortunate we all are that our community succeeded in saving Bolsa Chica. I am honored to be a part of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust, to work towards our shared vision and to show my children, through example, of how we care for our local environment, and how every part of it, no matter how small, is so important.
Today, the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is a strong community of people who continue to protect and restore Bolsa Chica. Bolsa Chica still needs us, as we need to restore habitats long ago beaten down by farming and oil production. State budgets for Bolsa Chica do not cover all of the work and outreach that is needed and deserved. More importantly, we know that our community will bear the
burden of changing climate and sea-level rise impacts. The Bolsa Chica Land Trust is standing together to confront the climate crisis by working with the State Lands Commission, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and other state and Federal agencies to develop large scale restoration plans and secure significant funding for the work that needs to be done to protect the fragile habitats at Bolsa Chica.
To help us continue our work today, and to plan for the future, I ask for your support. The generous and devoted BCLT Board of Directors have offered a match up to $15,000 – to match dollar per dollar each of the donations received by May 15th. Please consider supporting us now, as we have much to do tomorrow.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOR SHARING OUR VISION AND MISSION OF A HEALTHY AND THRIVING BOLSA CHICA.
From my family to yours, thank you for being a member and supporter of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust.
