Easter Sunday morning the Stewards gathered to show some love to the Mesa. We had an amazing group from the CSUF Accounting Society join us. The weather was perfect and we were able to get the remaining tar plants planted and watered. The tar plant that seeded itself from last year is doing wonderful as well. Nothing else to report, it was just a great day with great company!
More exciting though is the Bolsa Chica Earth Day Festival happening this Saturday April 11 from 10am-3pm in the North Lot. We will have a Jr. Stewards table with interesting displays of bird eggs and skulls, and stickers for the kids. I personally love looking at the skulls and eggs and seeing the diversity of the birds at Bolsa Chica. The stickers have a picture of a Burrowing Owl and a funny little pun about the Jr. Stewards. We will also have, for the first time, a photo display of beautiful photographs of Bolsa Chica to view and buy. I’m excited about that because people will be able to see the diversity and beauty of Bolsa Chica and why it is so important to continue to save and restore it. Along with our booths there will be food, tours, and even a snake or two. Come on over on Saturday and say hi!
